Filled with essential skills and techniques this 3 week course is the perfect introduction to the world of floristry. You will be guided by myself every step of the way as you focus on the building blocks of the craft and establishing a strong foundation of floral know-how.

At the core of this course are the essential principles and elements of floral design. Once you have mastered these skills there is no end to your learning and creations.

All flowers and equipment supplied, plus tea and coffee, soft drinks and snacks.

Week 1- Seasonal posy design- This is made in a small, unseen plastic dish, with floral foam, and the finished shape is round and domed. They can be made in any colour scheme and suit most flower types. Every stem should appear to be radiating from the center.

Week 2- Loose Front Facing Arrangement- A popular floral arrangement style, in the shape of a triangle and generally viewed from one side; may be both symmetrical and asymmetrical in form; examples include equilateral, isosceles, scalene, and right triangles. vertical design/style

Week 3- Linear Design- A linear flower design typically features stylized, elongated floral elements arranged in a continuous, flowing pattern. The design emphasizes clean lines and graceful shapes, possibly incorporating leaves and stems alongside the flowers. The overall aesthetic is often minimalistic yet elegant, focusing on simplicity and harmony.

NB: The purchase of this course and individual weeks cannot be transferred to other classes. If you are unable to attend the class on the day you can arrange to collect the flowers and supplies to make the item in your own time.

This is a beautiful class working with meadow flowers, grasses and herbs and learning the all-important skill of making a hand tied design. We will teach you how to spiral your stems and group your flowers to make a beautiful tied display ready to place into your vase at home. Once you have mastered this skill you can use it for all flowers throughout the seasons.

Our flower school is here to teach people at all levels of Flower arranging and floristry, from complete novices to experienced arrangers.

Each Floral design is demonstrated by our highly qualified designer florists. You will watch our informative demonstration and then it’s time to be creative with your own design. We are on hand to help as much or as little as you want. You will meet like-minded people and feel totally relaxed throughout the class
